The Clinical Lab has 6 divisions: clinical chemistry laboratory, clinical immunology laboratory, clinical hematology laboratory, clinical osology laboratory, clinical microbiology laboratory, clinical molecular biology laboratory, as well as Lianyungang City key laboratory - Clinical Medical Experimental Research Center. The department has 70 professional and technical personnel, including 3 MDs, 18 masters, 15 with senior titles. 1 young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions, 2 high-level talents of the provincial "333 Project", 3 second-level training objects of the municipal "521 Project", 4 third-level training objects, 2 leading medical talents and 3 innovative medical talents of the municipal "13th Five-Year plan". Independently undertook 1 national natural science fund project and one provincial natural science fund project, more than 30 provincial, departmental and municipal scientific research projects. 1 third prize of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and 4 new technology introduction Awards of the Provincial Department of Health, including 1 first prize and 3 second prizes; There were 4 first prizes and more than 20 second and third prizes in the municipal Technical Progress Award. Two monographs as deputy chief editor and four monographs as co-editors. In the past five years, more than 100 professional academic papers were published, including 7 SCI papers and 30 China series papers. Undertook the training and guidance of master students in Jiangsu University, Xuzhou Medical University and other institutions. It is equipped with an inspection biochemical assembly line (Beckman-Coulter Company of the United States) and a chemiluminescence assembly line (Roche company of Switzerland), which is the newest inspection assembly line in Jiangsu Province.

From February 13 to 15, 2015, the laboratory successfully passed the ISO15189 on-site evaluation organized by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.
