70th Anniversary Academic Activity Series-- Live Video Conference with MATAT Midwifery Expert
On the afternoon of February 2, 2021, the 70th anniversary of the hospital foundation academic activity series-- Live Video Conference with MATAT Midwifery Expert was successfully held. MATAT board member Mr. Dov Zahavi, Israeli well-known midwifery expert-- Dr. Halperin Ofra, hospital vice President Zhang Hailin, directors from the nursing department, hr department and relevant functional departments, head nurse of obstetrics, provincial specialized nurses and other related personnel attended the conference.
Mr. Dov Zahavi briefly introduced Ms. Halperin Ofra, and invited vice president Zhang Hailin to make a speech. President Zhang extended her warm welcome and sincere greetings to all participants of the conference, and thanked MATAT, President Marek, Vice President Gil, Director Dov, and Ms. Halperin Ofra for their efforts in making the conference possible.
Mrs. Halperin Ofra, post-doctoral, graduated from Anglia Ruskin University, U.K., chairman of the research committee of the National Midwives Association, Senior Lecturer with Tenure in Nursing faculty and Health Systems Management – The Max Stern Academic College of Emek Yezreel. Her research areas include the midwifery, nurse education, women's health, PTSD, health promotion, etc. In recent years she has been invited to present at a dozen of international academic conferences. At the conference, she presented Israel’s fertility rate, labor interventions, cesarean sections, as well as the training and responsibility of midwives. Combined with data, charts and live demonstrations, Mrs. Halperin Ofra gave a detailed description of midwifery techniques in Israel. After the lecture, the obstetrics colleagues had a heated discussion with her on the topic of controlling cesarean section rate, the criteria of choosing drug analgesia, suitable midwifery technique in natural delivery and doula accompany.
Since the hospital carried out 113BA online program, 2 live video conferences of pediatrics and midwifery nursing were successfully held. In 2021, on the occasion of the hospital’s 70th anniversary, we’ll continue to cooperate in cancer radiation, pain management, ophthalmology, neurology and other fields to develop broader and deeper medical exchange and cooperation, promote the general medical level of the First People's Hospital medical group, making Lianyungang residents enjoy international-level medical service without leaving the city.
